Tom Burke is associate vice president of Value & Implementation, Outcomes Research, at Merck Research Labs, where he focuses on real-world evidence across the oncology portfolio.

At Merck for more than 20 years, he has worked on using real-world evidence to inform clinical development, better understand unmet medical needs, support health technology assessment, and evaluate how therapies perform after approval.

Before joining Merck, Tom worked at Searle and Pharmacia. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University, and Master’s and PhD degrees in epidemiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and Rutgers University.
