Heather is senior partner at Oxford Science Enterprises where she leads HealthTech investment activities, overseeing venture building, investments and portfolio across digital health, diagnostics, medical devices, and life science tools.

She has more than 20 years of experience in health care innovation and venture investing. Her first role was operational, leading a team at Unilever responsible for translating transformational science conducted in global research centers into radical new HealthTech businesses. She made the jump to venture investing while at Unilever, subsequently transitioning to investment positions in both institutional and strategic funds. This included a role at Johnson & Johnson where she led their Consumer HealthTech partnering activities across EMEA.

Prior to joining OSE in 2022, Heather was a Partner at Optum Ventures, where she established and led its Global HealthTech investment fund on behalf of UnitedHealth Group.

Heather holds a PhD in clinicalbBiochemistry from Queen’s University Belfast.
